Besides being rich in faunal
biodiversity, East Africa is also culturally diverse, rich in
colorful tribal tradition. The proud Masai and Samburu
pastoral people, with their red ochred hair and ornate
beadwork, the Gabra women with their regal bearing and
colourful fabrics singing at the wells of the Chalbi desert in
the North, the warlike Turkana of the Jade Sea, known as lake
Turkana, are all as unforgettable as the country’s wealth of
wildlife. An East African cultural experience guided by
experts in this field give a visitor a unique insight into the
lives, the traditions and the challenges of East Africa’s many
tribal people.
